09/10 Winter Season Photo Contest

As the winter season comes to a close here in the Northwest, we thought it would be a good time to reflect on how much fun we had over the last 8 months. The conditions were extremely variable on the mountain… powder, ice, rain, hail and everything in between. But there were plenty of perfect days up at Mt. Hood to be had. So in celebration of the 09/10 winter season we decided that there was no better way to celebrate the coming of summer, other then to relive and share all of our best moments from the past.

09/10 Winter Season Photo Contest
Submit a photo from the 09/10 winter season. It can be a powder shot, a rail or tree jib, a park photo, or some secret back country goods. It needs to be snow related (because we are going to do a surf photo contest next month). There will be three judges. Landon (from NWB), Drew Smalley (from DS Imagery), and Shawn Craddick (OG Pro Snowboarder). The three of us will determine 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place finishers.

RULES
• Photo must be from the 09/10 Winter season
• You must have taken the photo, or be the rider in the photo and own all rights
• Photo must have been taken somewhere in the Northwest
• Photos must be submitted by June 30th, 2010
• No photos of Shawn or by Drew (Sorry Drew!) since they are on the judging panel

3rd place: Clothing package from Northwest Apparel and sunnies from Black Flys

Much thanks to Shawn Craddick for all of his support this year to the NWB site. This contest was made possible by Shawn and his sponsors, so thank you so much! Shawn has been killing it on a snowboard for about 20 years now. Hard to believe that much time has gone by and he’s still out there everyday. He’s been stomping landings clean since before most of you were born. Shawn’s become a staple fixture on Mt Hood having been here in the summers for the last 15 years coaching, and on and off throughout the last few winters ripping on the hills. There’s one thing that Shawn knows how to do… and that’s how to have fun on the mountain. Keep it up Shawn… and thanks again for all the support to NWB and everything you do for the local scene on Mt. Hood.

I also want to say thanks to Angela Martens for all her idea’s that I put into action. She had the original idea of starting NWB so I owe everything to her. She also had the idea of doing this contest. Many of her ideas have hugely contributed to the success of this site. So thanks again for everything you have done.
